LMMNA Education and Enrichment Options for Families

Dear neighbors,

We have all shifted our way of life without preparation or notice. We have the gift of living in an interesting time!

Despite the challenges, it seems that Lindridge-Martin Manor is doing well! Parents are playing with their children. The dogs are walking, children riding bikes, neighbors giving greetings and good wishes. It is important to sustain the personality of our neighborhood. I am thinking about how lucky I am to live here.

A challenge of sheltering in place is continuing to teach our children! It is hard, to continue doing your work while also trying your hand at being a teacher! We have many days to go, but there is a silver lining!

The generosity of companies selling computer-assisted programming is overwhelming! Hopefully, the selections below will help. These are a few well-established programs offered free-of-charge at this time. Most allow parents to register. If any request school information, please let me know at cathitrap@gmail.com.

Many of the museums, including The Children’s Museum, are offering Virtual Tours, so keep that in mind as a way of doing a family outing! Please give me an idea about the programming you need here in our neighborhood and we’ll see what we can do together.

Be well, stay safe, wash your hands, and continue to take care of each other! We are a vibrant community, and we will get through this. We may even thrive!
