GRADY STADIUM RENAMING COMMITTEE PROCESS
From our NPU-F reps for LMMNA:
As you may be aware, the Atlanta Board of Education (ABOE) recently voted to rename Grady High School to Midtown High School. They are now considering the renaming of the Grady Stadium which is a city-wide facility.
As the committee’s NPU representative, I want to share the details of the renaming process and provide an opportunity for Lindridge-Martin Manor residents to have input.
Follow the initiative on the Atlanta Board of Education Grady Stadium Renaming Committee page. In addition to the meeting schedule and minutes, you can also find a link to the ABOE ordinance that outlines this process.
Use this link to suggest a name to the renaming committee. You may also provide feedback/comments here.
The last meeting of the Grady Stadium Renaming Committee is Tuesday, January 12, at 5 p.m. The committee will consider community input and vote on a recommendation to forward to the Atlanta Board of Education. There are two ways to participate in the meeting:
To listen: Go to the APS Board of Education Facebook page to watch the session via Facebook Live.
To speak: Register to speak between 4 - 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 12 using this link. The meeting will begin promptly at 5 p.m. Instructions on how to connect to the meeting and speak will be provided after submitting a completed registration form.
