The alarm was triggered as soon as a window was opened, alerting the homeowners to the intrusion. Although the residents did not see anyone inside the house, they reported hearing footsteps.

The police were promptly called and responded to the scene. However, the situation took another turn 1-2 hours later when the residents received an alert that their car was being started. Utilizing a mobile app, they were able to turn the car off remotely. Despite this, the thief made another attempt to start the car, leading the resident to disable it again and set off the car alarm. The police were called back but were unable to identify the intruder clearly enough for a detailed report.

In light of these events, the responding officer recommended that all residents should enhance their home security measures. Specifically, they advised installing lights and cameras to cover all entry points and areas where vehicles are parked.
